Salary: £30,000 – £39,000 per year Job type: Permanent – Full time
Onea Safe is currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Surveyor and Analyst for a site-based role throughout Scotland. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting asbestos management and refurbishment surveys, as well as air monitoring for our clients. Our surveying work encompasses both domestic and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Conducting management and refurbishment surveys, including taking bulk samples and providing comprehensive site notes on tablets.
Offering advice to clients ancillary to the survey and overseeing removal works when necessary.
Providing asbestos analytical services, including air monitoring and fiber counting.
Staying up to date with asbestos legislation, guidance, and industry best practices, including UKAS accreditation and quality management arrangements.
Ensuring compliance with all legal obligations required by the company as a provider of asbestos-related services and as an employer.
Maintaining technical expertise and awareness of current issues in the sector.
Keeping abreast of relevant legislation, including Health and Safety regulations.
Supporting the business by working flexibly and responsively, either from the company’s office or from clients’ sites as required.
Ensuring timely delivery of work across all areas of the business.
Actively participating in training and development opportunities provided by the company.
Performing other duties as reasonably required.
To support your role, you will be equipped with a fully equipped mobile laboratory (van) for use while on site conducting surveys or air monitoring.
Personal Specification and Requirements:
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
P402/P403/P404 qualified Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of practical experience within a UKAS accredited organization.
Familiarity with Tracker software on tablets is advantageous, though not essential as full training will be provided. However, candidates must be computer literate and have knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Strong attention to detail and a proven track record of working to multiple deadlines under their own initiative.
